In 1993, Dan Ettinger was a charismatic Papageno in IVAI's Die Zauberfloete production on the stage of this Conservatory. 25 years later, Maestro Ettinger is the Music Director of the Israel Opera, a celebrated conductor who appears regularly at all the important performing venues in the world. See this Israeli Maestro at work with our young artists, helping them to find the path to success.

Dan Ettinger, Music Director of The Israeli Opera. He is the Music Director and Chief Conductor with the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra, Music Director of the opera house and Conductor Laureate of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as Principal Guest Conductor of the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion, where he was music director for many years. He was Conductor in Residence and assistant to Daniel Barenboim at the Berlin Staatsoper and Chief Guest Conductor of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. He conducts regularly in all leading international opera houses including the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Vienna Staatsoper and the opera houses of Munich, Paris, Tokyo and others. He also conducts regularly with numerous leading international and Israeli orchestras in concerts in which he also at times appears as a pianist.
