Summer Opera Program -

The program was founded in the early 1990’s and has trained some of today’s finest classical vocalists who have sung in the world’s most important venues including The Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden, La Scala, Paris Bastille and Chatelet, San Francisco Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera as well as the Staatsopers of Vienna, Munich, Berlin and Hamburg, the opera houses of Rome, Barcelona and Madrid.
The Tel Aviv Summer Opera has been fortunate to have an outstanding international faculty consisting of its program Artistic Director Kevin Murphy and voice teachers, conductors, coaches and stage directors.
Most recently these have included James Conlon, Trish McCaffrey, Dan Ettinger, Marzio Conte, Michael Schade, Jennifer Ringo, Chen Reiss, Michael Shell, Dan Gettinger, Louis Lohraseb, Mark Schnaible, Abbie Furmansky, Bretton Brown, Armin Zanner, Claude Webster, Gary Jankowski, Chris Crans and Samantha Malk.
This year we are delighted to welcome Heidi Grant Murphy, Yuri Park, language coach Anne Champert, and conductor Salvatore Percacciolo.
Fully staged operas and musical theater concert will be performed twice each with piano accompaniment. In addition there will be masterclasses, concerts and classes on the preparation of and business of the 21st century classical vocalist.
The program concludes with a gala concert of arias and ensembles from operas performed with orchestra.
